Product descriptions
Arctic krill from the waters of the South Pole contain a significant proportion of long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids in the form of phospholipids, which increase cell elasticity, promote better absorption of health-promoting bioactive substances and help to use Omega-3 fatty acids more efficiently. The fishing base for krill is Queen Maud Land in the Norwegian Antarctic ice cap, which is a Norwegian Territorial Territory. Caleido KRILL oil thus provides you with natural Omega-3 fatty acids from the cleanest waters in the world. Studies have shown that Omega-3 fatty acids bound in phospholipids are much less prone to oxidation than Omega-3 fatty acids in their traditional triglyceride form. Pure Caleido KRILL oil is rich in the natural antioxidant astaxanthin. Thanks to its health-promoting, free radical neutralising properties, astaxanthin keeps Caleido KRILL oil fresh, so no additives are needed to maintain the stability of Caleido KRILL oil over time.
What makes krill red?
By ideal composition, we mean that krill oil contains high concentrations of EPA and DHA in a unique phospholipid form, which enhances the body's ability to efficiently utilize them for the brain and cell membranes. Arctic krill is also rich in an important natural antioxidant, astaxanthin. For example, krill capsules owe their deep red colour to this antioxidant. Thanks to its health-promoting, free radical neutralising properties, astaxanthin also keeps krill fresh, so no additional additives are needed to maintain the stability of krill oil over time. (In contrast, most fish oil supplements contain added antioxidants to prevent rancidity during production or storage.)
Why can krill be a good friend you can always count on?
Among other things, because it can boost the body's immune response, keeping our body's "garrison" up and running in the face of invaders - no small task given the current environmental pressures. It can be good for the joints, keeping us generally mobile, but it has also been used to treat uncommon conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. It can also have a positive effect on the nervous system, helping to maintain general well-being, not to mention the boost to mental performance that can come with regular use. It can also have beneficial effects on the heart, eyes, blood pressure and can help to prevent certain skin problems.
Red crab oil, krill, is therefore a gift from nature, and not to use it is an omission that can affect not only our own health, but that of future generations.
