Goldenseal, also known as goldenseal or goldenrod, also known as golden rut, contains flavonoids, blood sugar-lowering inulin and fragrant coumarin. It has been known and used for centuries, and its excellent properties have been confirmed by recent scientific findings.

Its tea is mainly used for biliary, kidney, bladder and liver disorders. It can also be used in cases of inflammation of the kidney pelvis, to remove kidney stones, to induce urination and in cases of proteinuria. It can also be used to remove small gallstones and bile stones.
It can also be used in rheumatic and arthritic diseases. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used in cases of inflammation of the intestines.
Externally, it is a wound healer and ulcer cleanser. It can also be used as a gargle for inflammation of the oral cavity, gingivitis and sore throat. It can also be used effectively as a rinse and compress for eczema.

Preparation,

Contraindications: not recommended for heart patients due to its diuretic properties, or only under medical supervision, as it expels potassium from the body. Also not recommended in cases of poor kidney function. Do not use in combination with diuretic medication.

Combinations with other herbs

Goldenseal is used in combination with common galanga and white barley grass for the treatment of difficult-to-heal cystitis and inflammation of the renal pelvis.
For inflammation of the urinary tract: birch leaves, bear's bane leaves and yarrow help.
For arthritis and gout: mix with juniper and birch leaves.
For high blood pressure: add juniper, birch leaves and lemongrass to increase its effectiveness.
