Product descriptions
Theobroma cacao, a tree native to the tropical climate of South America, is the sacred tree of the Maya and Aztecs. Cacao beans are a delicious superfood because they contain a wide range of antioxidants and other nutrients. Cacao beans produced by organic farmers in Peru contain more antioxidants than red wine and three times more than green tea. Cocoa beans are a rich source of minerals.
The raw beans are hand-picked, the best quality ones are selected and fermented to reduce their initial bitterness. Cocoa butter is high in saturated fats, which come from healthy acids - stearic acid and palmitic acid. Cocoa butter is an edible, high quality, edible, natural vegetable fat extracted from cocoa beans during the production of chocolate and cocoa.
On average, a cocoa bean contains between 44% and 46% cocoa butter, which is extracted by cold-pressing after the beans have been dried. The result is unfiltered, virgin cocoa butter, which is chocolate brown in colour and has a characteristic cocoa smell and taste. The filtered cocoa butter loses its brown colour and becomes off-white or yellowish.
It can be used as an ingredient in cakes and desserts and can also be used to make heavenly chocolate.
Cocoa is also extremely rich in various unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, proteins, manganese, potassium and phosphorus, and its valuable active ingredients can also be used in skin care.
One of the most stable, highly concentrated fats, it melts at body temperature and is instantly absorbed by the skin, so it has been used for centuries to maintain healthy skin softness. It is also used in a wide range of cosmetic products: lip balms, body lotions, shower gels, soaps and creams.
