Product descriptions
Maca, known as the superfood of the Andes, is popular among the indigenous people of Peru. Grown in spring, maca is a root vegetable cultivated at an altitude of 3,500 metres. Maca has a distinctive malty flavour that pairs well with cacao, another superfood. To achieve the best quality, maca roots are cleaned in natural water and then dried. The heat treatment breaks down the starch molecules, which helps maca to digest more easily and make other nutrients bioavailable. The maca root is then ground into a fine powder and encapsulated.
It is also known as Peruvian ginseng. It is also known to have energizing, tonic, stamina-enhancing and emotional-enhancing properties. It thrives in harsh weather conditions (cold, strong winds, intense sunlight), which are particularly adverse for most plants. Scientific research shows that maca is particularly rich in amino acids, phytonutrients, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. It is also extremely rich in nutrients and energizers, which is why many people consider it to be one of the world's best natural supplements.
One of maca's most beneficial properties is its ability to regulate, stimulate and balance the hormonal balance in both men and women. Its taste is similar to roasted chicory, which damages the nervous system with chemical stimulants. Maca, on the other hand, is not a caffeine stimulant, but a stimulating herb that keeps us healthy naturally. The difference between maca and gelatinised maca is that the starch is removed from the gelatinised maca powder, making it more concentrated, easier to absorb and better absorbed by the body.
