PLANTAIN SEED HUSKS (PSYLLIUM)
A natural water-soluble fibre that can be easily incorporated into a diet with a low glycaemic index. Plantain seed coat is a swelling fibre, which isAbsorbs 40 times more water than its own weight and can be used in the kitchen to make cakes, breads and pastries.Plantago ovata, Ispagol, Psyllium, Bolhamag plantain.

In terms of solubility, a distinction is made between water-soluble and water-insoluble fibres. Plantain seed husks contain 85% water-soluble indigestible fibres. Plantain seed husks can absorb up to 40 times their own weight in water.
PLANTAIN SHELLS IN COOKING TECHNOLOGY
Psyllium husk's ability to swell can also be exploited in the kitchen to make cakes, breads and thickening. Psyllium is also one of the best substitutes for chicory, which can be used to knead and shape gluten-free dough. It can be used to make pancakes or even mixed into yoghurt, but it also makes an excellent binder.

Ingredients. Plantago ovata seed coat. *Contains naturally occurring sugars.
Use: Mix 1 level tablespoon (7 g) in 2dl of liquid and consume before breakfast and/or dinner. For cooking, baking; as a substitute for chicory. When in contact with liquids, it swells many times its volume, avoid consumption if you have difficulty swallowing. It may inhibit the absorption of some medicines, so take 1-2 hours before and after taking them. It is safe for long-term consumption.
