Sodium bicarbonate - sodium bicarbonate, formerly known as bicarbonate of soda, more commonly known as bicarbonate of soda - is a slightly alkaline salt that is highly soluble in water. It consists of a bicarbonate ion (HCO3-) and a sodium ion (Na+). It works by neutralising acids and releasing carbon dioxide. It is a by-product of soda production and other chemical processes.

A substance harmless to the environment, it has many uses. Tasty Baking Soda has a very wide range of uses, it can also be used in the household.
In bathrooms it is excellent for cleaning tiles, sinks and toilet bowls. Scrubbing the surface may be necessary to remove soap deposits and greasy dirt.
As a kitchen cleaner, it can be used to clean ovens and fridges thanks to its degreasing and deodorising properties. When cleaning greasy dishes, add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the dishwashing water. To remove tea, coffee and grease stains, sprinkle baking soda on the stain and rinse with hot water after rubbing gently
