Saw Palmetto (Serenoa Repens) is a wild medicinal plant in the Americas, it can live up to 700 years, is very hardy. Netamin Saw Palmetto Harmony capsules contain a powdered version of the fruit of the saw palmetto in a vegetable capsule. Each capsule contains 450 mg of saw palmetto fruit powder.
About saw palmetto as a raw material in the light of research*
The healthy functioning of the female body, and in particular the maintenance of reproductive function, depends on hormonal balance. This includes not only the well-known female sex hormones, such as oestrogen and progesterone, but also androgens (in other words male sex hormones).
Androgens are also present in small amounts in healthy women, produced by the ovaries and adrenal glands. However, their excessive presence leads to the development of masculinising androgenic symptoms: acne, hair loss, increased facial and body hair growth, more aggressive behaviour, ovulatory disorders and infertility.
The predominance of androgenic hormones is also the cause of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the most common endocrine disorder in women of childbearing age, which can cause fertility problems, among other things.
