Ear Candle Scented with Chamomile Essential Oil
How Does an Ear Candle Work?
Ear candling is a simple, natural remedy that can even be used at home. As the ear candle is lit and placed at the entrance to the external auditory canal, a vibrating, oscillating column of warm air is created within the “tube” formed by the ear candle and the ear canal. This vibrating column of air, with its periodically changing pressure, acts to “massage” the highly sensitive eardrum and, through it, the entire anatomical structure of our hearing system. The frequency of the vibration is lower than that of audible sounds. Based on centuries of experience, this vibration—which differs from audible sounds—can have a beneficial effect on our auditory system and also stimulates ear acupuncture points that are otherwise very difficult to reach.
The vibrational effect can improve circulation and alleviate complaints related to the ears and sinuses. The calming, relaxing experience of ear candling can help alleviate stress-related symptoms and promote relaxation and rest.
Of course, this vibrating, oscillating column of warm air does not draw anything out of the ear canal. At the same time, a properly performed ear candling treatment can loosen earwax, which usually drains out on its own within one or two days after the treatment (e.g., at night while sleeping).
Recommendations for Use:
For any complaint, we recommend trying ear candling a few times as a “trial.” If no improvement is noticed after three treatments, then ear candling will not solve that particular problem, and it is not worth continuing to try.
Based on long-term use and experience, ear candling may alleviate symptoms in the following cases:
Ear candling has a calming effect on both children and adults; it promotes stress relief and helps you relax.
Ear candling stimulates acupuncture points in the ear canal that cannot be reached by other means.
For relieving mild ear discomfort, earaches, itchy ears, and symptoms of external ear canal inflammation.
For relieving symptoms of the common cold, allergic rhinitis, colds, and flu-like symptoms.
To relieve symptoms of sinusitis and sinus inflammation.
To relieve symptoms of ear pressure problems that occur during flights.
To remove “water plugs” trapped in the ear canal after water sports, swimming, or a day at the beach.
A large group of users also recommends it for relieving migraine symptoms.
As a relaxation tool to complement cosmetic and other types of massages.
May help alleviate the effects of dusty and noisy work environments.
To prevent the formation of earwax plugs in cases of excessive earwax production.
Important: Ear candles cannot loosen dried, hardened, or extremely large amounts of earwax. Removal of such buildup is the sole responsibility of a specialist. After removal, regular use of ear candles may help prevent further buildup.<br
