Collagen is a giant protein found in large quantities in our skin, bones and cartilage. We can get a lot of collagen by eating animal skin, bone and cartilage (e.g. bone soup, jelly, etc.), but it is very difficult to digest. During digestion, collagen is broken down into its smaller constituents, peptides, and then some of it is broken down into amino acids, which is how it gets into the bloodstream to act in the skin and joints.

In this product, the collagen is already present in the form of peptides, i.e. it is digested and hydrolysed. This collagen peptide (hydrolysed collagen), which requires little digestion, helps to maintain the youthful elasticity of the skin and the proper functioning and flexibility of the joints.

The effect on skin and joints has only been proven in relation to the consumption of collagen peptides, not in the case of collagen that is not pre-digested (consumed from food). (It is important to note, however, that the stomach and intestinal mucosa is the one that is beneficially affected by collagen from food that is not pre-digested, according to some experts).

RecommendedIntake. It has no taste, but because of its mild smell, it is recommended to mix it with orange juice, cocoa or e.g. cream and vanilla drinks, which mask it well.
