A gluten-free flour blend that makes it easy to make crusty, nutritious, fibre-rich bread without yeast.
Crispy crust fragrant homemade bread recipe
Ingredients (for approx. 500 g bread):
- 270 g Safi Free Homemade Bread flour mix
- 3 g Himalayan salt (may vary according to taste and salt)
- 40 g freshly squeezed 100% lemon juice
- 300 g lukewarm water
- Seasonings to taste: dried garlic powder, onion powder, bread spice, seeds, etc.
Preparation:
Mix the lemon juice, salt, and spices (optional) in the water then add the 270 grams of flour mixture and knead, then knead the dough (about 2 minutes).
Let the dough rest for 5 minutes, then knead it on a floured surface (about 5 g of flour) (leaving a slightly floured surface).
Brush the top of the bread with 1 g of coconut oil.
Then let the bread rest for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180°C.
Bake in a preheated hot oven at 180 degrees for 50 minutes, then at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
Leave to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
If someone has a weaker oven and feels that the bread is not fully baked, follow the instructions below:
- Do not bake it in a loaf pan under any circumstances, this bread should not be baked in a strong oven either!
- Do not bake it on a plastic silicone baking sheet, but put it on paper.
- If it still feels wet after the above 2 points, after washing your hands and shaping the bread, add 15 grams of flour and knead the dough, then shape it and bake it like this, so that the inside is not wet.
We also recommend that you don't shape it into bread, but into buns, rolls or even small loaves!
